The District 5M-5 Lions Clubs consist of more than 1400 men and woman all joined together to provide service to their local communities. We have over 40 lions clubs in Hennepin County raising funds and performing community service projects for their friends and neighbors. Service projects are things like donations to their local food shelf, helping their city to build parks and picnic shelters, providing eyeglasses and hearing aids, supporting local youth sports and other activities, sponsoring community events and parades, building a ramp so that a disabled neighbor can stay in their home. A lions club really is the heart of a community, we are all volunteers and every dime we raise from the community goes back into the community in the form of donations.
